Good luck to all our Western Slope swimmers attending this very fast swim meet.

Team Sopris would like to wish Masters Coach Terry a fond farewell. Terry and Claire are packing up and heading to Tucson AZ. Terry will continue to coach masters swimming in Tucson along with swimming and exercising each day. Terry has been an inspiration to us all and will be dearly missed. Best wishes and good flip turns.

MISSION STATEMENT

Team Sopris offers a year-round swim program for anyone who lives in the Roaring Fork Valley and nearby communities from Vail to Rifle. The team exists to provide an opportunity for youth and adults to learn about and participate in competitive swimming. Our goal is for every swimmer to be prepared to compete to the maximum of his or her ability, and to have fun doing so.

The Team Sopris program offers seven practice levels: Discovery, Challenge 1, Challenge 2, Cuda, Junior, Senior and HS Prep. On joining the team, your swimmer will be evaluated by the coaching staff and placed in his/her appropriate practice group. Developmental is the beginning level of our program, and the proficiency of the swimmers increases at each level with corresponding increases in the practice time and intensity.
