STEVE VANDERHOOF

Head Coach

Coach Steve was an original member of the Glenwood Springs Barracuda Swim Team in 1970. After years of age group, Jr. /Sr., and college swimming, Steve continues to swim regularly today. He was the head coach for the Barracudas during college, when our team was a summer-only club.

 

After years in business and raising a family, Steve has returned to coaching as an ASCA Level II coach.  Along with his current Team Sopris duties, he is also the Glenwood Springs High School swim coach. With years of competitive swimming, distance/adventure running, triathlons, along with being a devoted Cross training exerciser, coach Steve brings a passion for training to the team.  He understands the physical and mental benefits of exercise.
